Fans and the media have criticized the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, had some harsh words to say about the media during the latest episode of his podcast, “QB Unplugged.”
Quincy Avery, Watson’s co-host and personal quarterback coach, asked him a question regarding the possibility of meeting someone who might have been “talking crazy” about him.
On Friday, January 26, Watson stated, “The media people are talking a lot on Twitter, but when they walk into the locker room or when we walk by them before or after games, they are all friendly or they don’t say nothing at all.” They behave as though they can’t see me. Some such pathetic stuff
Watson took particular offense at remarks made recently that implied he was “complaining” about plays that were scripted.
Watson retorted, “Look, I never said I was complaining about anybody.” “You can see any player I’m playing with, or any coach who has coached me. Four won’t whine about insignificant things. Everything will be on display, and I plan to speak up if I have anything to say.

In recent years, Watson hasn’t been a media darling. The numerous lawsuits brought against him for alleged sexual misconduct are largely to blame for that. However, his on-field performance has also drawn criticism.
In 2022, Cleveland acquired Watson through a trade with the Houston Texans in exchange for three first-round picks. He was also given a guaranteed contract worth $230 million by the team. Throughout his two seasons with the Browns, Watson has made just 12 appearances. The outcomes of those games have been inconsistent. With 14 touchdowns and 2,217 yards passing, Watson and 9 interceptions with the Browns.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry acknowledged that keeping Watson on the field is a top priority during his season-ending press conference. However, he also supported his quarterback and commended the advancements he has made.
On January 22, Berry remarked, “We’d all love to have him on the field more often.” “We’re excited to have him back next year and I do feel really good about him and the progress he’s made both on and off the field within our organization. We are really confident in him as our starting quarterback and believe he will have an incredible year.

According to a team release, Watson underwent surgery on November 21 to fix a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right shoulder. While he’s ahead of schedule for a possible return, the quarterback for the Browns is still taking things day by day.
“Rehab is excellent. Actually, we’re nine [weeks] old today,” Watson remarked. “On the front end, probably another four to five weeks.” And after that, at least three more weeks. We therefore start throwing between the ages of three and four months, so I would guess April. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to participate in spring. When we get closer to that, we’ll see.
Berry also approached Watson’s comeback with a cautious sense of optimism.
“He is putting all of his effort into getting well. He’s progressing nicely, according to Berry. “We expect him to arrive at the scheduled time or possibly early. Although it’s still early, I hesitate tosay this, but we’re really happy with the progress we’ve made thus far and are definitely looking forward to
Watson, who will now count $63.9 million against the cap for the upcoming season, is about to enter a pivotal year.
