£3 million man says he wants to make a “dream” transfer and leave Celtic this month.

Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke has expressed his desire to leave the Scottish Premiership champions, eyeing a move to Serie A, specifically to Lecce. Lagerbielke’s stint in Glasgow has been under scrutiny, with only nine appearances in five months raising questions about Brendan Rodgers’ recruitment decisions.

Lecce has shown interest, and Lagerbielke is eager to secure the move, stating his ambition to make an impact and fulfill his childhood dream of playing in Serie A. Despite Celtic’s pending decision, Lagerbielke is proactive in pushing for the transfer. The Swedish center-half, signed for £3 million from Elfsborg, has struggled for game time in the Premiership, making only brief appearances since September. While he scored a crucial Champions League goal against Feyenoord, his overall contribution has been limited. Celtic has already offloaded players this month and may consider offers for others, including Alexandro Bernabei, Yuki Kobayashi, and Benjamin Siegrist. Additionally, Celtic had shown interest in Lagerbielke’s former Elfsborg teammate Hakon Valdimarsson, who has since joined Brentford in England.
