Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has undergone a surgical procedure.

According to a report by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt recently underwent surgery to repair a ruptured adductor muscle. Hunt, who played through the majority of the season with this injury, showcased remarkable resilience despite the challenging circumstances.

As a free agent, Hunt’s future with the Browns appears uncertain, especially considering the severity of his injury. However, his commendable display of toughness throughout the season, particularly when the team faced running back shortages, deserves recognition.

The Browns anticipate the return of Nick Chubb, who is currently recuperating from a serious knee injury. In addition to Chubb, the team also received contributions from Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong during the season. Nevertheless, given the unpredictable nature of injuries in football, the Browns are likely to explore options to bolster their running back depth, potentially through the draft or free agency.

Meanwhile, the Senior Bowl practices kicked off, attracting the attention of teams like the Cleveland Browns, who hold eight draft picks. The team is expected to closely evaluate standout offensive prospects during the event.

In terms of offensive positions, the Browns are particularly interested in potential additions at running back, wide receiver, tight end, and along the offensive line. Although some needs may be more pressing than others, the team is scouting prospects expected to be available across Day 2 and Day 3 of the draft.

Several prospects showcased their talents during the practices, including wide receivers Brenden Rice from USC and Roman Wilson from Michigan. Additionally, offensive lineman Jordan Morgan from Arizona and running backs Rasheen Ali from Marshall and MarShawn Lloyd from USC stood out with their performances.

Despite the challenges posed by injuries and uncertainties surrounding free agency, the Cleveland Browns remain focused on identifying talented prospects who can contribute to their offensive arsenal, ensuring depth and versatility for the upcoming season.
