With the NBA trade deadline looming, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Saddiq Bey have been associated with the Cavaliers.

With the trade deadline approaching in less than a week for the 2023-24 NBA season, teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers are under pressure to make impactful moves. The Atlanta Hawks have emerged as potential trade partners for the Cavaliers, with players Bogdan Bogdanovic and Saddiq Bey reportedly linked to Cleveland.

Cavs insider Evan Dammarell has indicated that the Cavaliers have shown interest in acquiring Royce O’Neale, with sources suggesting that a trade could be possible by matching salaries and including draft compensation. Additionally, Bogdanovic and Bey from the Atlanta Hawks are also mentioned as targets for Cleveland.

Bogdanovic, aged 31, is currently in his fourth season with the Hawks and is signed through the 2025-26 season with a club option for 2026-27, making him a potential long-term asset for the Cavaliers. On the other hand, Bey, aged 24, is set to become a restricted free agent after the current season and was a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Bogdanovic has been a key contributor off the bench for the Hawks, averaging 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from beyond the arc. Bey, who has started in 35 of his 47 appearances, is averaging 13.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from three-point range.

Considering Bogdanovic’s contract situation, he could be an attractive target for the Cavaliers, potentially becoming a core piece for the team. Bey, despite having less club control, offers promise due to his young age, and the Cavaliers could look to develop him further as a project player.

Currently, the Cleveland Cavaliers hold the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference with a 30-16 record, showing strong performances and aiming for a deep playoff run following their disappointing 2022-23 season.
