Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson was arrested for driving under the influence on the Vegas Strip, as reported by local Las Vegas journalist Cristen Drummond.
Robinson, who has been in the NFL for three years, was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2021 draft. After a stint with the Philadelphia Eagles in his rookie season, he has primarily played for the Las Vegas Raiders, contributing notably in the 2023 season.
Prior to his NFL career, Robinson played for the Florida State Seminoles from 2017 to 2021, showcasing his skills as an explosive edge rusher with significant playing time throughout his college years.
Robinson’s arrest brings to mind another well-known case involving a Las Vegas Raiders player. Former wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was involved in a fatal drunk driving incident in 2021, resulting in a prison sentence of three to ten years for Ruggs.
Despite the severity of Ruggs’ case, Robinson’s situation serves as a reminder of the consequences of drunk driving incidents involving professional athletes.
