Christian Horner, the head of the Red Bull Formula 1 team, is threatening legal action against a Formula 1 magazine that published new allegations against him and revealed the identity of his accuser. The allegations stem from claims of inappropriate behavior by a female employee of the team. Despite being cleared after an investigation, the scandal intensified when texts and images related to the probe were leaked to the media.

Horner, who is married to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, has consistently denied the accusations and vowed to remain in his position. The situation escalated further when Jos Verstappen, father of Red Bull’s star driver Max Verstappen, called for Horner’s dismissal.

BusinessF1 Magazine has published a detailed investigation into the case, including damaging new allegations against Horner, as well as shedding light on power struggles within Red Bull. The magazine also revealed the identity of the female employee at the center of the scandal.

Legal action has been initiated to remove the article, which Horner’s lawyers argue is defamatory and unlawful, causing significant harm. The accuracy of the article is being disputed, and it is expected to be republished later after being temporarily taken down.

The scandal has overshadowed the beginning of the F1 season, with Horner facing pressure not only from within the team but also from F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. The latter is under investigation himself over allegations of interfering in last year’s race results.

As the F1 circus moves to Saudi Arabia for the next grand prix, the scandal shows no signs of abating, with Horner at the center of attention alongside other high-profile figures in the sport facing scrutiny.
