Zaire Franklin of the Colts sends CJ Stroud of the Texans a severe warning.
In an interview with Chris Long for Green Light, Zaire Franklin stated, “No, because I already smacked them (the Titans) a couple times.” It’s actually Houston. I won’t lie to you—I like CJ, guy, and I root for all of our young quarterbacks, but during our run-ins, CJ said a lot of crazy things to me. He’s experiencing himself. I must see the boy once more.
Given that the two teams split the season series and that the Colts defeated the Titans in 2023, it makes some sense that Franklin is eager to face the Texans more. Franklin’s remarks could undoubtedly serve as inspiration for the Titans in their two upcoming games.
Franklin mentioned that he overheard Stroud discussing how good he played against the Colts while he was at Radio Row during the Super Bowl. Then Franklin told him what he had spoken to him there.
Franklin stated on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, “Well, we were talking, and you know how the Super Bowl is at Radio Row. He had the XM Radio right before me and he was on there talking about how he cooked the Colts in both games.” “You know when you played Anthony (Richardson), it was like 28-7 in the second quarter, we were kind of blowing you out,” I said, grabbing him aside. Sure, you had thrown for 300 yards, but…
That day, the Colts prevailed despite Anthony Richardson suffering an early injury.
