DEATH ALERT: Disaster Hits Raiders As They Loose A Player In A Car Accident
The Las Vegas Raiders recently faced a devastating tragedy with the death of former player D.J. Hayden in a car accident on November 11, 2023. Hayden, a first-round pick for the Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft, tragically passed away along with two former teammates from the University of Houston, Zachary McMillian and Ralph Oragwu. The crash occurred in Houston, where Hayden and his friends had gathered for a game between the University of Houston and Cincinnati Bearcats.
According to reports, a high-speed collision at an intersection led to the deaths of the four individuals involved, including Hayden, McMillian, and Oragwu. The vehicle carrying Hayden was struck by another car that ran a red light. While the female driver of the other vehicle also perished at the scene, the incident has deeply affected both the Raiders organization and the University of Houston community. In a statement, the Raiders expressed their sorrow, remembering Hayden for his “courage, perseverance, and dedication.”
This loss echoes other tragedies in Raiders’ history, such as the car crash involving former wide receiver Henry Ruggs III in 2021, which also had fatal consequences.
