Ryan Fodje announced his commitment to the Sooners via social media, becoming the 10th commit of the group, the sixth offensive player, and the second addition to the offensive line for the cycle.
According to the 247Sports Network’s specific rankings, Fodje received the highest three-star grade of 89 overall. He is ranked as the 27th offensive tackle nationally and the 44th player in Texas.
In the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, Fodje is ranked as the 400th overall prospect of the cycle. However, the 247Sports Network ranks him higher, placing him as the 34th offensive tackle nationally and among the top 60 players in Texas.
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 275 pounds, Fodje received an offer from Oklahoma in the summer following an impressive performance at one of their camps. He chose Oklahoma over several other offers from schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, and Arkansas.
National scouting analyst Gabe Brooks described Fodje as a high-ceiling junior with early offers from multiple schools. He is seen as a long-term tackle prospect, with impressive pass-protection agility and potential for growth. Fodje’s athleticism is evident in his participation in shot put during his sophomore year. Verification of his physical measurements, particularly arm length and wingspan, is awaited, but his promising potential suggests he could rise in rankings.
The 2025 cycle boasts significant offensive line talent in the greater south central region, particularly from Texas. Given Oklahoma’s focus on this position group for the class, securing commitments like Fodje’s aligns with their goals.
